We have limited internet so once a day you can send messages as needed. If there is an emergency we do have a phone (weather effects operation of both phone and satellite internet). We do not allow phones and computers to be connected to the internet all day because it kills our signal bandwidth and shuts down the internet. This is a good time to lose dependency on electronics and enjoy the freedom. Some missionaries choose to contact their cell provider regarding their travel to Haiti as some providers may set you up with a plan to connect to the local servers.
Haiti180 is governed by a Board of Directors that ensures funds are used to further our work amongst the poor in Haiti. Additionally, we are audited by an independent accounting firm.
